The National Science Day 2018 was celebrated in G.V.M's Dr. Dada Vaidya college of Education with the theme,"Science- Wonderment and Prowess'.
Like always the preparations for the day begin several weeks in advance under the guidance of Dr. Anna Neena George.As second year students we were asked to bring air purifying plants and mosquito repellent plants to exhibit for the occasion.I and my Miss Alisha Vagekar brought the "Spider plant" which is an air purifying plant usually kept indoors.
The main highlight of the event was the interdisciplinary approach wherein students from different methods such as History,Geography and Languages showed the connection between their respective subject and science.This was done through PowerPoint presentations,working models,poetry and songs.A science mela was also exhibited based on Mr. Arvind Gupta's Sci-toys.
Dr. ,ex-principal of P.E.S college was the chief guest for the ocassion.The birthday of Dr. Anna Neena George was also celebrated.
