The theme of the National science Day 2017 was "Science and technology for specially abled persons".The Science Day was also celebrated in G.V.M's Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education with the theme 'Intergalactic Space'.
The preparations for the day were made a month in advance under the guidance of my science teacher Dr.Anna Neena George.The Science students were assigned different duties such as decorations,preparing invitation cards,demonstrations,presentations,quiz,refreshments and so on.I was given the responsiblity of preparing the invitation cards,decorating the main hall,welcome song and demonstration.
Dr. Shirish Kamat was the chief guest for the programme.The day also marked the birthday of Dr.Anna Neena George.The two Sci -Fun groups were awarded certificates of participation at the hands of Dr. Shirish Kamat.The day proved to be an iconic event in the college.
